Guesswork and bluff 's required by your teams as they venture into a curious world of intrigue.

A cross between the Antiques Roadshow and Call My Bluff, The Curio Show is a fun and sophisticated icebreaker - the perfect complement to a post-conference evening meal.

The Curio Show features a diverse collection of objects that range from the intriguing to the downright bizarre, each of which could have many different uses. All the teams have to do is guess the age, value and intended use of each curio.

Round 1 of the game often takes place during pre-dinner drinks. The curios are displayed on numbered plinths around the rooms and the teams are invited to inspect and handle each object. The participants are encouraged to take a hands-on approach, to get a feel for each object - taking it apart if necessary. At the end of this round all the teams will have an opinion of each object.

After coffee, Round 2 begins. Each team receives a written description as to the true identity, age and value of one of the objects. They have to then create two additional plausible descriptions and present them alongside the true description of the curio. The more convincing the made-up descriptions; the more they influence the other teams' opinions on the curio. Frenzied and colourful discussions take place as the real and fictitious descriptions are considered and debated. Finally, the true identity of each curio is revealed to the gasps and groans of the participants.
